Today we watched a video about Europe, Asia, Middle East countries, Africa, and The North and South Americas. The video showed 200 countries over 200 years and how they moved or stayed the same. In 1810 the live expectancy of every nation was below 40 years old. On the graph the bottom left corner was the poor and sick and the upper right side was the rich and healthy. The X-axis represents Income and the Y-axis represents life expectancy. Hans Rosling teachers a college Global Health class. In the Demographic Transition chart their are 4 stages. Stage 2 represents the a country with a high birth rate and a rapidly falling death rate. Stage 1 is when a country has a high birth rate and a high death rate.The United States was in stage 1 in the early 1800's. Japan in currently in stage 4 or 5 depending on what graph you follow.
