more of the powerpoint

Today we went over the last of the powerpoint and talked about the test and upcoming exam and essay requirements. For the essay portion of the exam we will have to have finished by Friday but preferably by Thursday so we can have a friend peer edit for us. Well today in the powerpoint we learned that preferences are shown to people who already have family in the US which is about 3/4 immigrant and, skilled workers which is 1/4 of immigrants. Diversity is what a country is overall seeking. They will allow anyone from a country where they have little immigrants from in right away. The main source of immigrants in the US is from Mexico only 1 million out of 11.2 million undocumented immigrants are children. Unauthorized immigrants have given birth to about 4.5 million children, automatically making them US citizens. About 35% of adult unauthorized immigrants have been here for more than 15 years and 8 million have been employed.
