more on the five major religions

    The third largest religion is Hinduism with 1.1 billion adherents. Most of the followers are located in India or Nepal. Their Holy Book is called, The Vedas- eternal truths revealed through ancient sages in verse form. There is no one founder of Hinduism, it is a series of intellectual or philosophical points of view and is the oldest religion still being practiced today.
     The fourth largest religion is Buddhism with 500 million-1.1 billion adherents. The followers of Buddhism are located in Southeast Asia, China, Nepal, and Japan. The founder of Buddhism is, Siddhartha Gautama. The different denominations are, Tibetan, Zen, Theravada, and Amidst. The Buddhist people believe in the Four Noble Truths and The Eightfold Path. The Four Noble truths are, there is suffering, attachment of desire, there is cessation of suffering, and the 8 fold path is the way to end your suffering. The Eightfold path is right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration. You can practice Buddhism and another religion.
     Then the actually ninth largest religion, Judaism with 16-18 million adherents.
